In order to get here, guests must drive as there is no public transportation in rural New Mexico. The closest airports are Santa Fe or Albuquerque.
We have a two-night minimum for all stays. When guests stay for three nights, they receive a complimentary fourth night for free! This applies once per visit.
If you need to cancel your stay, you may do so up to 10 days prior to your arrival and receive a full refund of your deposit.

Guests may check in between 3:00pm and 8:00pm on the date of their arrival. Late checks in are challenging since we are a small staff, so please be mindful of these times.

In order to provide our guests with the highest quality peace and serenity, we do not accept children under the age of 15. This does not apply when reserving the entire property.
Yes! We love to see guests enjoying the trails and beauty of Cliff River Springs with their furry friends. However, we limit pets to only Wood House in an effort to keep our casitas allergen free and peaceful for other guests. There is a 2 dog maximum for this casita and an additional $50 per dog fee for your stay.
Unfortunately, if Wood House is booked during your desired stay, we cannot accommodate other pets on the property. Thank you for understanding.
Unfortunately living this far out does have its drawbacks, one of which is the cell phone coverage. You will have a hard time getting service from the major carriers on the property. However, we do our best to keep our guests connected and provide free high speed wi-fi in each of the casitas. This signal also extends to common spaces around the central plaza.
Due to the remote nature of Cliff River Springs, there are few places to dine out in the area. Each casita comes with a complete kitchen (refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker) and full set of cookware, silverware, and other kitchen tools. We highly encourage guests to come with all the groceries they may need.
If looking to dine out while staying with us, we recommend the restaurant at the Ojo Caliente Springs, El Farolito (in El Rito), Sierra Negra (in Abiquiu), or La Cocina (in Española), all require a drive.
We recommend grocery shopping in Santa Fe or Taos before heading our way.
Yes! We would be honored to host your special event. To coordinate, please email stay@cliffriversprings.com or fill out an inquiry on the website. Special rates are available for full property rentals. These rentals may also utilize the Barn for their stay.
While we are a remote inn, the interior roads of the property are well maintained dirt roads, accessible in all types of vehicles. We do not offer EV charging.
We do not offer day passes as the amenities are for guests only to enjoy.
We do not allow camping on our property at this time, however we are surrounded by public land and national forrest where camping can be done.
There is no smoking or fires at Cliff River Springs. New Mexico is in a period of prolonged drought and residents take fire safety very seriously. We ask our guests to be responsible and caring towards the land and the safety of all.
